how to fix Object 'CLRObject' could not be created error in AX 2012

Error Message: CLR object is not initialized.
Error Message: Object 'CLRObject' could not be created.

This problem occurs because the Ax32.exe.config file does not exist in the Bin folder. If you install Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 before you install Windows SharePoint Services, the Ax32.exe.config file is not copied to the Bin folder.

Note By default, the Bin folder is located in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\40\Client

If you get the error ‘CLRObject could not be created’ when entering Tools/Options from the AOT in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. There is no a single solution, because there may be an infinite number of different underlying exceptions when creating a .NET object.

Try to go to the Control Panel/Administrative Tools and check the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Server Configuration and note if you have ‘Enable the hot-swapping of assemblies for each development session’ activated.
If the ‘Enable the hot-swapping of assemblies for each development session’ parameter is activated, try to deactivate it, press Apply and say yes to restart the AOS Service. Then try to go to the AOT/Tools/Options and see if you are not able to enter the Options screen without any error. Please confirm if you are using AX 2012 feature pack or AX 2012 R2 or R3 and have you just restored the business database or model database too in case you are using post feature pack version.
